Voces Pulchrae was set up in September 2022 by founding Musical Director James Pelham. Many members came from the recently-folded Marple Choral Society. Others were already singing (and playing) in other early music ensembles or other local choirs. We have since formed links with Roger Child (lutenist), Polydolci (recorder consort) and northern-based viol players.
Our inaugural concert was on 4th March 2023,
David Wynn-Evans joined us as MD in Spring 2024.
